Just to clear up any confusion about what comment system has or hasn’t been implemented where:
I completed the installation of JS-Kit Comments (formerly HaloScan) across all blogs.
Results were VERY mixed. JS-Kit Comments installed successfully on the following blogs:
Altneuland
Birkenreis (Old)
Cafe Birkenreis
Plant More Trees
It didn’t install properly on the following blogs, however, which means that I don’t have a single, consistent comments system across blogs.
J-Blogosphere
Workbench
JS-Kit Comments wasn’t my first choice (no offence, guys). I initially attempted to install Disqus, and then IntenseDebate, but without success. Disqus hasn’t yet responded to my forum post. (I’m sure both would have worked correctly on a “freshâ€, unmodified Blogger template.)
JS-Kit Comments does have one major advantage over the other two, and that’s its ability to import your existing Blogger comments when you implement and export your comments to Blogger if you back it out. It apparently maintains your comments on both systems while you’re using it.
One more thing to come out of this exercise is that I have created a profile for Maskil on all three systems.
DISQUS
IntenseDebate
JS-Kit: Comments, ratings, polls and surveys, Navigator, chat and more…
